    Passports/visas: British passport holders do not require a visa to enter Malaysia for stays up to 30 days but you need 6 months validity on your passport.

    Time Difference: +7 hours ahead of British Summer Time. GMT+8 hours.

    Currency: Malaysian Ringgit (RM1 = 100 Cents). It may be difficult to exchange foreign currencies outside main tourist centres. Sterling/US dollar travelers cheques widely accepted.

    Main Language: Malay (official and national), English (official).

    Water: drinkable (bottled recommended in rural areas).

    Electricity: Malaysia voltage is 220-240 volts AC, 50 cycles per second.
