Tailor-made hockey tours in Chile

Girls hockey is becoming increasingly popular in Chile, although the standard not quite as strong as it is in neighbouring Argentina.

Chile is a country of amazing contrasts, from the capital city of Santiago (the heart of the main focus for sports tours to Chile) and the diverse cities of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar on the coast, to the more leisurely activities such as the Huilo Huilo Ecological Reserve Chile offers something for everyone.

Day 1 - DEPARTURE DAY

Assemble at London Heathrow Airport for your flight to Chile.  A Gullivers Sports Travel representative will be on hand to assist with your check in.

Day 2 – SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Flight arrives Santiago.  On arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for the following three nights

Afternoon at leisure to familiarise yourself with your surroundings.

Day 3 – SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Match Day 1

Afternoon match followed by after match refreshments

Day 4 – SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Full day at leisure, why not enjoy a half day Santiago City Tour. Journey through the main street of the civic centre of the city of Santiago, viewing the neoclassical Moneda Palace, built in the 18th Century and current seat of Government, the Plaza de Armas or main square with its cathedral, the Museum of National History and the Central Post Office, all with very different architectural styles.

Day 5 - SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Match Day 2

After breakfast transfer to your host school to meet your opposition

Afternoon match followed by after match refreshments

Return home with your hosts for two nights billets

Day 6 - SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Full day at leisure

Enjoy a full day tour to Viña del Mar and Valparaiso, see the multi-coloured mansions and houses in Valparaiso overlooking the historic port and explore the sights of the beautiful beach town in neighbouring Viña del Mar.

Return to your host school.

Day 7 – SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Match Day 3

Late morning match followed by lunch at the school.

Afternoon at leisure to visit Cerro Santa Lucia at the eastern end of downtown Santiago, this small hill, exuberantly landscaped, is adorned with a maze of swirling stairways, turrets and fountains.  Climbing the hill is an essential part of the Santiago experience. 

Check into your hotel for two nights.

Day 8 - SANTIAGO DE CHILE

Final day at leisure to perhaps visit a mall for shopping and lunch

Day 9 - SANTIAGO / INFLIGHT

Transfer to Santiago Airport for your flight back to the UK.

Day 10 - ARRIVE HOME

Arrive back in the UK.
