Tailor-made hockey tours in Canada

'Field hockey' is traditionally a girl’s sport in schools in Canada but played by both men and women in adult leagues throughout the country. There are currently over 600 school and 400 club teams, and with fixtures possible in cities such as Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver you will be sure to have a hockey tour to remember.

Day 1 - IN FLIGHT / TORONTO

Meet at the airport for your flight to Toronto. A Gullivers Sports Travel representative will be on hand to assist with check-in. Upon arrival in Toronto, transfer to your accommodation for the next four nights. The evening is free for you to settle in and relax.

Day 2 – TORONTO

A full day at leisure. Visit the world famous CN Tower, the tallest free standing structure in the world. Alternatively, take a tour of the Roger Centre, home to the famous Blue Jays baseball team.

Day 3 – TORONTO

Match Day 1

This morning visit the beautiful harbour front and Queen’s Quay Terminal to explore the many shops and restaurants lining the water’s edge. A short ferry ride takes you to the Toronto Islands, famous for their beautiful and charming parks.

Afternoon match followed by after match function.

Day 4 – TORONTO

Enjoy a full day at Niagara Falls and ride on the ‘Maid of the Mist’ to the base of the falls. Then see the falls from a different perspective after you descend through the tunnels to stand on Table Rock beneath the cascading water.

Day 5 - TORONTO / BARRIE

Transfer to your billeted accommodation in Barrie on Lake Simcoe. En route why not stop off at Paramount, Canada’s Wonderland, a theme park with over 100 rides.

Day 6 – BARRIE

Match Day 2

Morning at leisure to familiarise yourselves with the town.

Afternoon match followed by after match function.

Day 7 – BARRIE

A day to relax on the beach at Lake Simcoe which has excellent swimming facilities and take a boat excursion on the lake itself.

Day 8 - BARRIE / ALGONQUIN PARK

Coach transfer to Algonquin Park where you arrive late afternoon for an overnight stay.

Day 9 - ALGONQUIN PARK / OTTAWA

This morning take part in adventure activities including canoeing, kayaking and hiking under the supervision of camp guides. This afternoon transfer to your accommodation in Ottawa for three nights.

Day 10 – OTTAWA

The morning is free for sightseeing. Maybe visit the Parliament Buildings and take a boat cruise on the Rideau Canal. This evening meet your hosts for the following two nights.

Day 11 – OTTAWA

Match Day 3

Morning at leisure, perhaps visit the Canadian Museum of Civilization across the river in Hull or explore the shopping options in Ottawa.

Afternoon match followed by after match function.

Day 12 - OTTAWA / TORONTO

Coach transfer to your final hosts in Toronto and spend the evening getting to know them.

Day 13 – TORONTO

Match Day 4

This morning visit the Wild Water Kingdom in Brampton and experience the thrills and spills of the seven storey slides and a huge wave pool.

Afternoon match followed by after match function.

Day 14 - TORONTO / IN FLIGHT

Time for some last minute shopping before you transfer to Pearson International Airport and your flight home.

Day 15 – HOME

Arrive back in the UK.
