Football Festivals in Sweden - The Gothia Cup

The Gothia Cup is one of Europe’s leading junior football tournaments with over 35,000 players from 1550 teams, representing 72 nations, participating each year!

The atmosphere surrounding the opening of the Gothia Cup is electric, enough to make you shiver with excitement. It’s a memory you’ll remember and smile at for the rest of your life. More than 50,000 players, coaches, supporters and locals create a magical atmosphere at Ullevi Stadium. There are nearly 500 dancers, 10 musicians and 15 solo artists accompanying this great culture mix. Together they create an amazing show. You may also find yourself reflecting and find out that Gothia Cup is much more than just football.

Day 1 – DEPARTURE DAY 

Assemble at Gatwick airport for your flight to Gothenburg. Gullivers Sports Travel representatives will be on hand to assist with your check in.

On arrival you will be met by local representative and transferred to your accommodation where you will be based for three nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Afternoon at your leisure to explore your new surroundings.

Day 2 – GOTHENBURG

Match Day 1

Full morning at leisure before transferring to your fixture. Why not take in a sightseeing bus tour of Gothenburg.

Day 3 – GOTHENBURG

Full day at leisure before transferring to your fixture. Why not visit the Liseberg fun park, dominated by the AtmosFear ride, the tallest free fall attraction in Europe, freefall at over 100 kilometers an hour with the maximum 4 g-force pressure during breaking.

Day 4 – HOMEWARD BOUND

After breakfast this morning check-out from your accommodation before transferring back to Gothenburg airport: On arrival in London, clear immigration, collect luggage, pass customs and make your own way home.
