Tailor-made cricket tours in Germany

Cricket teams that decide to tour Germany will be pleasantly surprised to find very well run teams, competitive cricket and junior sides all looking to improve.

Adult cricket is played all over the country with the main areas based around Hamburg and Berlin. The facilities are now not just within military bases, the German Cricket Board has invested heavily in providing facilities and coaching for clubs and schools across Germany.

Day 1 – DEPARTURE DAY

Meet at the airport for your flight to Frankfurt.  On arrival in Frankfurt you will be met and transferred by coach to Heidelberg where accommodation will be arranged for three nights on a bed & breakfast basis

Day 2 – HEIDELBERG

Match Day 1

Morning at leisure before transferring to your first fixture.  Perhaps a visit to the University of Heidelberg Studentenkarzer, a student prison opened in the 16th Century following citizens complains about carousing students.  Troublemakers were detained for at least three days and up to four weeks and fed only bread and water. Delinquents doing more time could interrupt their sentence for critical reasons (say, to take exams). Crimes were of disturbing the peace, womanizing, unruly drunkenness, or freeing the local pigs.  Being jailed in the Studentenkarzer couldn't have been too unpleasant judging by the inventive graffiti and inscriptions, some students seem to find their stay highly entertaining

Full day at leisure. Why not visit the Deutsches Apothekenmuseum, off the courtyard, Infinitely more fun than science lessons, explores chemistry and pharmacology in centuries past.
