Tailor-made rugby tours in Croatia

Rugby is a fast-growing sport in Croatia – with over 1000 pre-teens or teenagers registered as players to ensure the longevity of the sport at adult level. There are over 20 men’s teams across the major cities (Dubrovnik, Pula, Split, Zadar, Zagreb etc); in addition, there is a women’s team in Zagreb. There are many Croats playing in the top French divisions, and there are host of New Zealanders, Australians and South Africans of Croatian origin – former All Black Frano Botica (whose grandparents were born in Korčula) was once a Croatian rugby coach, and England’s Dan Luger’s father is from the island of Brac; Sean Fitzpatrick is another All Black with Croatian heritage. With its wonderful scenery, Croatia is a superb destination for a ‘testing’ school or club rugby tour.
