Tailor made Swim & water polo training camps in South Africa

We can arrange an international swimming training camp for your school or club tour to South Africa at the High Performance Centre in Pretoria. With four 50m outdoor training pools within a radius of 5km you have the conditions you need!
 
Training camps will be organised and test competitions or participations in swimming galas in South Africa are possible during your preparation camp.
 
Swim training camps in include stroke analysis, video taping of swim sessions, endurance training, turns, breathing techniques, swimming speed, certified emergency staff and sports medicals on duty during your swimming camp at the HPC South Africa.
 

Day 1 - DEPARTURE DAY

Meet at the airport for an overnight flight to Cape Town. A Gullivers Sports Travel representative will be on hand to assist with check in.

Day 2 - CAPE TOWN

On arrival in Cape Town transfer to HIGC Eastern Boulevard for three nights.

Day 3 - CAPE TOWN

Match Day 1

Match followed by after match function.

Day 4 - CAPE TOWN

Full day at leisure so why not take a half day tour into a township or visit Robben Island which features a museum documenting Nelson Mandela’s prison years

Day 5 - CAPE TOWN

Transfer to a local school for two nights’ billets.

Day 6 - CAPE TOWN

Match Day 2

Match followed by post match function.

Day 7 - CAPE TOWN

Transfer back to HIGC Eastern Boulevard for four nights.

Day 8 - CAPE TOWN

A full day at leisure: perhaps take a cruise from Hout Bay Harbour to Seal Island and have lunch in Simon’s Town.

Day 9 - CAPE TOWN

Match Day 3

Match followed by post match function.

Day 10 - CAPE TOWN

Another full day at leisure. Maybe visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature reserve and see the penguins at Boulders Beach.

Day 11 - CAPE TOWN/PRETORIA

Fly to Johannesburg. On arrival transfer to Pretoria where you will spend two nights in billets.

Day 12 – PRETORIA

Match Day 4

Match followed by post match function.

Day 13 - PRETORIA/SUN CITY

Transfer to Sun City for two nights.

Day 14 - SUN CITY

Full day game drive in Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

Day 15 - JOHANNESBURG/IN FLIGHT

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Day 16 - ARRIVE HOME

An early morning arrival in London.

    Passports: Must be valid for 30 days beyond departure from SA although we recommend 6 months validity. Require two adjacent empty pages for visa issue on arrival or risk deportment.

    Currency: South African Rand (ZAR). 

    Main Language: Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, Pedi, Sotho, Swazi, Tsonga, Tswana, Venda, Xhosa and Zulu

    Water: Tap water is safe to drink in the major cities.

    Electricity: South Africa's electricity supply: 220/230 volts AC 50 Hz. Adapter needed.

    Driving: Left hand side of road. Full license needed.

    Clothing:. Ensure on entry to the country that all sports shoes are clean and clear of all mud or items will be confiscated and fines imposed.

    Visas: Not required for holders of British Passports who are travelling for less than 90 days. All other nationalities to contact the South African Embassy directly

    Vaccinations: Please consult your G.P.  Polio, Hep A & Typhoid recommended. Malaria tablets – dependant on touring destination.

    Tipping: Most restaurants do not add a service charge to bills - thus it is customary to leave a 10-15% tip.
